For over two decades, Nerd Systems has kept Houston businesses and homes running — managed IT and monitoring, networks and servers, on-site and remote support, repairs and custom builds. Today we do even more: modern websites and rebuilds, custom software and automation, and your own AI agent that answers customers and handles work around the clock. One local team for all of it — big-shop capability with local-shop care.
From a single slow laptop to full managed infrastructure — and from a fresh website to the automation that runs behind it.
We run it so you can run your business.
Your home network and devices, handled.
A site that actually represents you — like this one.
If it's repetitive, we can automate it.
Your own AI that works 24/7.
We run it so you don't have to.
Running a restaurant, bar, or retail shop? I install, support, and troubleshoot the major POS platforms — Aloha, Toast, Revention, and SpotOn — plus reservations on OpenTable and SevenRooms. Networks, payments, and the back office handled so service never stops.
Official SpotOn POS Partner. Opening a new spot or upgrading your system? I'll get you set up on SpotOn directly.
Mia isn't a dumb chatbot that forgets you the moment you close the tab. She has persistent memory, learns your business, and actually gets things done — answering customers, booking jobs, handling email, and running workflows 24/7.
Tap the button and talk to a real Mia agent — the same kind we'll build for you.
Every customer can have their own AI agent — embedded on your website to answer questions and book jobs 24/7, or as a general assistant for your business. You bring your own AI key and you own the agent; we build it, host it, and tune it to you. Your Mia, your data, your brand.
Nerd Systems is Benjamin Price — one tech keeping Houston's homes and businesses running since 2001. Over two decades I've handled just about everything that plugs in or connects, from a slow home laptop to a company's entire network and servers. If it's tech, I've probably fixed it, built it, or kept it running.
When you call Nerd Systems, you get me — the owner — every time. No call center, no ticket queue, no rotating cast of junior techs who've never seen your network. I learn your systems, I remember how everything's wired, and I'm the same person on the phone, on-site, and the next time something comes up.
I work the way I'd want someone working on my own stuff: straight answers, no jargon, no upsells you don't need, done right the first time. Big-shop capability with local-shop accountability — and I'll come to you anywhere in greater Houston, or hop on remotely when that's faster.
These days that reliability covers more than IT. I build modern websites, write custom software and automations, and stand up AI agents that work around the clock — the same tools I use to run my own business, put to work for yours.
When something breaks, you talk to a person who already knows your setup — me. No queue, no ticket, no being passed around. I tell you exactly how and when it's getting fixed, by phone, text, or email.
My background is in cybersecurity, so security is never an afterthought. Two-factor on every critical system, client data kept encrypted, and I help you lock your own business down the same way.
I built the software that runs Nerd Systems — every client's history, configs, and systems in one organized profile, with automated monitoring on managed accounts. My systems watch yours and catch issues before they become problems.
Great IT isn't seen or heard — it just works, so you can focus on running your business instead of fighting your tech. That's the whole goal: keep you running, quietly.
Hourly. Billed in 30-minute increments after the first hour, Monday through Friday, 9am–6pm Central. Work outside business hours or on holidays is billed at a higher rate.
Monthly / Managed IT. Prefer predictable billing? Managed plans start at $500/mo and scale with your systems and users — your full-time IT department without the full-time cost. Ideal for businesses that need IT handled but aren't ready to hire in-house.
Honest terms. Hourly work is billed for the time it takes, regardless of outcome — IT doesn't always cooperate (hardware fails, vendors break things). I'll always flag anything risky or uncertain and get your OK before proceeding, recommend the level of effort, and honor a cap on hours if you set one. The goal is a satisfied customer, every time.
Call, email, or just chat with Mia — she'll take it from there.
